NATIONAL GET OUT DOORS DAY
Melvern and Pomona Lakes and the City of Lyndon will be participating in this event. It is a new annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun. Prime goals of the day are reaching first-time visitors to public lands and reconnecting our youth to the great outdoors. National Get Outdoors Day is an outgrowth of the Get Outdoors USA! campaign, which encourages Americans, especially our youth, to seek out healthy, active outdoor lives and embrace our parks, forests, refuges and other public lands and waters.

Osage County Treasure Hunt
There are treasures hidden all over Osage County. Join us on June 13, 2009 at the Lyndon Community Building to learn how to Geo Cache and then we will go out into Osage County to find the treasures. Osage County has more than 60 Geo Caches (treasures) hidden.
